Energy efficient renovation of a prefabricated building using AEROBRAN® High Performance Thermally Insulating Plaster system. 3100 m² of preinstalled exposed aggregate jointed concrete slabs were coated with the insulating plaster system. Joint-free, biocide-free and non-flammable. Energy efficient renovation as per KfW 85 requirements. The building is being subject to scientific measurements by the Fraunhofer Institute UMSICHT.

The Fixit renovation technique, including the use of a 30mm thick plaster layer of Fixit 222 Insulating Plaster, created a novel room climate based on its water-vapour permeability. The combined layers of the plaster system absorb excess humidity from the air and return it in a controlled way to the room, preventing the development of mildew
